Gruesome is a death metal supergroup formed in 2014 by Matt Harvey (Exhumed) and Gus Rios (ex-Malevolent Creation) after their involvement in the Death To All tribute tours. The band was explicitly created as an intentional homage to the first wave of Tampa, Florida death metal, especially the early sound of the legendary band Death and its founder, Chuck Schuldiner.
- The band's logo, "Gruesome," is presented in a classic, dripping red death metal font at the top, while the album title "Savage Land" is in a bold red font at the bottom.
